River Safari is one of Canada’s premier bear watching companies and offers exhilarating wildlife expeditions deep into the heart of the planet’s only inland temperate rainforest.
Board one of RIVER SAFARI’S specially designed boats or jeeps for a smooth but exciting Safari, where the wildlife decides when and for how long you stop along the way!
As you are travelling through glacier-fed rivers and lakes seemingly going where no boat has gone before, you are sure to fall witness to a variety of active wildlife seen on these riverbanks. In addition to an information-packed narrative, guides will point out bears, glaciers and many waterfalls toppling from the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
At River Safari there are 3 different adventures that can be combined to experience one or all three. Depending on your timescales and budget there is an incredible experience waiting for you.
With a boat departing every 60 minutes, no reservation is required, making the River Safari an absolute ‘must-do’ activity. Your point of departure is conveniently located just north of Blue River off the Yellowhead Highway #5, halfway between Jasper and Kamloops, as well as halfway between Mt. Robson and Wells Grey Park.
River Safari may be mostly known as a tour company, but they are also well known for food and the restaurant in which it is served. Situated on a beautiful floating dock the Forest Table Restaurant lives up to its name. With live edge giant tables and solid wood carved seating, all surrounded by beautiful art captured from the tours, combined with beautiful views out on to the river. What better way to enjoy your gorgeous food and drinks.
