Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) continues to climb the ladder as a world-renowned top Canadian ski destination.
Known for their massive vert, fresh pow & small town vibes you’ll want to put them on the list this winter.
It’s no surprise that extreme powder hounds flock to Revy year after year. Located just off Hwy 1 between Kelowna and Calgary in interior BC you’re guaranteed a beautiful, scenic drive that you won’t soon forget.
Although Revy has a reputation for delivering extreme goods it does offer a softer side that welcomes families, and visitors looking for that big mountain experience with beginner-intermediate terrain. One of their newer expansions, the Stellar Chair, is the place to be if you’re looking for progressive terrain. Located near the top of the Revelation Gondola, Stellar offers six runs (three blue and three green) with a mellow grade and 130 metres (426 feet) of vertical.
RMR, which is located on Mt. Mackenzie, is home to North America’s longest vertical drop (1,713M). The mountain brings steep runs, perfectly spaced glades, stunning bowls, and access to 3121 acres of skiable terrain. The Stellar Chair allows for a wider range of skiers and snowboarders to visit the Resort. It’s an excellent zone for beginners to get comfortable as they work their way up to Mt. Mackenzie’s notably steep and challenging terrain. If you’re not quite extreme but looking to take it to the top, the Stoke Chair will deliver you to RMR's top to bottom, 15.2km green run, The Last Spike.
Not much of a skier? Sightseeing tickets are available for members of the family who may just want to soak up the views and eat a famously delicious burger from the Mackenzie Outpost. Opening for the 2022.23 season on December 3, RMR looks forward to welcoming visitors after a challenging couple of seasons. If you’re planning a family ski vacation, make sure Revelstoke is at the top of your list of places to stop.
