Located in the heart of the Okanagan –  just 45 minutes outside of Kelowna, BC – Big White Ski Resort is known for its EPIC powder, but in the summer, after 25 feet of snow has melted, lies a summer playground perfect for the whole family.

Situate your RV in the Happy Valley RV Park, then easily access everything the resort has to offer after a short walk or ride on Lara’s Gondola. The main Village is home to an array of restaurants, shops and activities, including summer festivals, disc golf, hiking trails for all ages and abilities, and lift-accessed mountain biking. Check out the resort’s summer event calendar  to plan your visit around some of our exciting events, like the Craft & Country Beer & Music Festival or our challenging Peak Challenge trail running race.

And, if you’re looking to make multiple stops without driving all over the province, Big White is close to a number of picturesque camping spots in Boundary Country, not to mention other activities and must-see destinations.

Camping Boundary Country

After your stay at Big White, take your camping expedition through the rest of  Boundary Country. Boundary is known for its wide, open spaces, and abundance of natural wonder. As you would imagine, this makes the region an excellent area for camping. Camp beside a historic river, quaint lakes, in the middle of the forest, or just off of a trail on an overnight biking trip. If remote camping is more your speed, perhaps Jewel Lake Provincial Park or  Conkle Lake Provincial Park will better float your boat. Jewel has a few more amenities available while Conkle is more secluded, but both have lovely lakes and incredible scenery.

Trails From Your Campsite

Whether you’re planning on camping or glamping, adventure is never far away. Most campsites will be connected to Boundary’s  extensive trail system in some way, shape or form. Hike, bike, or meander over 2,000 km of trails that link our communities and their history. It’s a great family experience and the perfect way to get up close and experience nature.

Relax Beside the Historic Kettle River

The Kettle River is a famed landmark of Boundary Country and there are  several campsites available that are located directly on the River’s banks. Campers will often bring floaties and enjoy an afternoon cruise downstream or plant a beach chair in a shallow, slow-moving spot to enjoy company and the gorgeous surroundings.

Lake Life

Boundary Country is filled with a wonderful variety of lakes, each of which will take your camping experience to the next level.   Christina Lake is a renowned summer camping retreat for the surrounding area. Watersports are ever-popular here and there is a laid-back feel to the town to enjoy during your downtime. There are a number of other recreational options available including hikes around the lake and biking on the Trans Canada Trail.
