The Fernie RV Resort is nestled between the Elk River, Fernie Golf Course and Maiden Lake. It’s a wilderness setting however only minutes from Fernie’s shopping and dining services, and the Historic Downtown.
The Resort’s riverside trail connects with the greater Fernie trail network offering abundant walking and biking options year around. Hiking starts at the Resort and ranges from a short dog walk to two-hour waterfall hikes to a full-day iconic alpine hikes on several mountain passes.
Biking also starts at the resort and is well served with over 100 trails and a lift serviced bike park. The Resort offers 12 free townie bikes for guests use and a bike wash for all riders.
The sparkling waters of the majestic Elk River flow beside the Resort offering fly-fishing and float opportunities on the calm stretches through town. Kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing and tubing are guests favourites.
The 18 hole Fernie Golf Club offers Resort guests a discount on green fees and their clubhouse restaurant, the Cast Iron Grill, serves great food all day.
The Resort offers 161 fully-serviced RV sites, (26 are pull-throughs) 11 tenting sites and 6 heated yurts, one with kitchen and washroom facilities. The resort is open year-round.
Resort amenities include two family-style washroom buildings with private showers, sinks and toilets. 30 and 50 amp service, free WiFi, a professional laundry, kids’ playground, sani-dump and water fill-up station.
The Resort gardens and landscaping have been the owners focus from the beginning and have created a special place to relax and enjoy the mountain views somehow appear to complement and soften the RV’s.
