Just east of Algonquin Park by Barry’s Bay, Ontario, the Madawaska River is known for its friendly warm waters – the perfect introduction to the River World. Be it kayak, canoe or raft – visitors can experience the River with a 2-hour rafting trip or a full day introductory paddling course at Canada’s premier whitewater centre.
Madawaska Rafting
2-hour rafting trips run three-times daily, with regular water releases from Bark Lake Dam making raft trips possible from Monday to Thursdays. Splash through the five kilometres of tumbling waters, jump-in to enjoy the rivers natural jacuzzi for a body surfing experience or just hang on as your guide steers the boat through the currents. Even 2 year olds can enjoy this introduction to moving water. (June to end of August.)
