Hugging spectacular coastline around most of its 1600 km, Highway 132 is a legendary scenic drive taking you through some of Quebec's most breathtaking landscapes.

It's an unforgettable RV road trip with camping available at both private and National Park campgrounds along the route. The Gaspéspie region is home to four national parks, numerous lighthouses, covered bridges and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Lying at the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula, the city of Gaspé is the tourism gateway to nearby Forillon National Park, fully within the city’s boundaries. The park offers hiking trails for all abilities, jaw dropping picnic spots, kayaking, mountain biking and other outdoor activites. Heritage sites within the park will have you discovering the lifestyles of the original settlers to the area. Its history dates back to 1534 as the place where Jacques Cartier first took possession of “New France” (now Quebec) making it the “Cradle of French America”.

Less than an hour from Gaspé is the small village of Percé. Driving into the village, you will be awestruck by your first sight of massive Percé Rock then be charmed by its enchanting landscape and vibrant cultural life. Central to tourism here is the Ile de Bonaventure which is home to the largest migratory bird refuge in North America. The high point of a visit here will definitely be the sight of the more than 100,000 northern gannets which make the island their home.

As you drive, watch out for the abundant wildlife in the area - whales can often be seen in offshore waters from the land or you can opt to take a whale watching cruise to get more up close and personal. Stop by the small bakeries, cheese factories and chocolataries and delight your tastebuds with local flavours.

Gaspésie will truly delight your senses.
