Grouse Mountain -
The Peak of Vancouver
The adventure starts with a short trip up the Skyride to an elevation of 1,200 meters (4,100 feet). Once at the top, there are year-round dining options ranging from casual to fine as well as many complementary activities you can take part in. In the winter, we offer a skating pond (skate and helmet rentals available), a magical Light Walk, several snowshoe trails (rentals available), and a Sliding Zone for sledding (rentals required)! In late November and throughout December, the mountain transforms into the Peak of Christmas and adds a variety of festive activities, including Santa’s Workshop, crafts with Santa’s elves, and ranger talks with Santa’s reindeer.

In summer months, Grouse Mountain offers lumberjack shows, live owl interpretive sessions, a grizzly bear habitat with two grizzlies and daily ranger talks, Birds in Motion demonstrations, self-guided Eco Walks, and the Peak Chairlift taking you to the peak of Grouse Mountain (must be at least 1m tall to ride). The summer also offers thrilling add-on experiences including the Mountain Ropes Adventure—a series of aerial ropes courses with varying degrees of difficulty. Our other amazing add-on offer is the Mountain Zipline tour, which involves five high-speed ziplines through the treetops of Grouse and Dam Mountain. These adventures take thrills to new heights!

Change is in the air at Grouse as we move forward with many exciting new projects! The most prominent is our new gondola system scheduled to open in the winter of 2024/2025. This state-of-the-art gondola will work with our existing Skyride to get guests up the Mountain quickly and efficiently. Another change in the coming year is our new Mountain Coaster, scheduled to open in the summer of 2024. This exhilarating ride will send riders down the mountain at a blistering 45 kilometers an hour.
