Home to some of North America's rarest animals, Jasper National Park is the largest of the five national parks in the Canadian Rockies.

There's only one word to describe the scenery in Jasper National Park - WOW! From the summit of Whistlers Mountain, reached by riding the Jasper SkyTram 2277 metres above sea level, 360 degree views of the township and surrounding landscape will leave you breathless.

Most Guests who choose to rent an RV in Calgary will arrive in Jasper via the Icefields Parkway, a spectacular 232km drive through the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Around every turn, there's a new WOW moment to soak in - from glaciers to snow-capped mountains to waterfalls and rivers - the Parkway has it all.

Options for where to stay in Jasper are limited to Parks Canada campgrounds when you are travelling by RV. Both 'townsite' campgrounds are very popular and fill up fast so reservations are essential.  There are a few private RV Parks just outside the Park's boundaries and these are also an option for camping. Advance reservations for camping in and around the Park in peak season are ESSENTIAL.)

Recreational and sightseeing opportunities in Jasper National Park are endless.  Hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, boat cruises, canoeing, canyoning - the list goes on Evenings bring star-lit skies to the Park, away from the light pollution of cities - providing a dark sky playground in the world's largest, most accessible dark sky preserve.

Bears and other wildlife frequent the park and it's not uncommon to see them crossing the road.  Exercise caution as 'bear jams' can happen at short notice.

Looking for more things to do in Jasper?  The Tourist Information Centre in the main street of Jasper Townsite has knowledgeable staff who can point you in the right direction.  Note that parking may be a challenge for RVs.  The town has two RV paid parking lots within walking distance of the downtown core and on-street parking is available for up to two hours.  More information is available on the Municipality of Jasper website.
