Stunningly beautiful, Prince Edward Island National Park features unique cultural resources, white beaches, sand dunes, red cliffs and historic sites.

Skirting 60km of shoreline on Prince Edward Island's North Shore, this National Park's mandate includes the protection of many unique resources and provides a nesting habitat for the endangered piping plover. Numerous other birds roam the park, making it an important bird area.

The Park caters for RV travellers with a full-service campground in the Cavendish sector and at Stanhope with large open and semi-wooded sites, both serviced and unserviced. Only steps from the ocean, these campgrounds fill up quickly in the summer and reservations are recommended. Other private campgrounds are also nearby.

The north shore of Prince Edward Island is popular for hiking and biking. Trails wind through coastal terrain, marshes and woodlands. Walk in the steps of Lucy Maud Montgomery as you visit the fictional childhood home of Anne of Green Gables, now a National Historic Site. Sculpt sandcastles on Cavendish beach or take to the water in a canoe or kayak. Then, when you finish exploring this amazing place, stay put and venture out to see what else Prince Edward Island has to offer.
