Trip Details

Pick up your RV from Toronto or Montreal - and make your way to Philadelphia where the first major stop of our itinerary begins. From Toronto and Montreal, it's a 700-750km drive to reach Philly so you should arrive on Day 2. Plan an overnight stop along your route. Year-round camping is available in Phildelphia at Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA, a 30 minute drive from from downtown Philadelphia attractions. Must-see attractions in Philly include Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, the famous LOVE sculpture, City Hall, Boathouse Row and the waterfront and enjoying an authentic Philly cheesesteak.
It's a short drive today where free attractions await, 3 hours south in Washington DC. No trip here would be complete without visiting the Smithsonian Museums, the National Portrait Gallery or the National Mall. Iconic buildings such as the Washington Monument, The US Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial and, of course, the White House greet visitors in a sea of white stone thoughout the city.
As you continue your journey south, you'll begin to leave the winter cold behind. Your most direct route to Florida is down I95 but, if you have more time on your hands, you might like to go coastal and explore the beach communities to the east. History runs deep in North and South Carolina. Once known as the Province of Carolina during America's early colonial period, it became two British royal colonies around 1729. Consider an overnight stay in Charleston or Savannah where cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and antebellum architecture are sure to inspire the photographer in you.

You've arrived! It's Destination Disneyworld. Orlando is home to more than a dozen theme parks so, once you've done everything at Disneyworld, there's plenty more to check out including Universal, Discovery Cove, Fun Spot America and Seaworld.

Like many cities, Orlando boasts a giant sky wheel providing stunning view of downtown Orlando from its 400 foot peak. Looking to get a feel for Everglades nature, culture and animals? The whole family will enjoy Gatorland which also offers adrenalin in the form of 1200 feet of ziplines.

Campsites within easy driving distance of Disneyworld are plentiful but advance bookings would be advised. We suggest you check out the Orlando/Kissimmee KOA or The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

When you've had your fill of theme parks, you might like to take a trip south to Everglades National Park, passing through Miami en route. RV camping is available at the Flamingo Campground near the entrance to the Park.

Continue north via Fort Myers and Tampa. Choose your return route based on your drop-off location and, if you have time, seek out more interesting places for this 2-3 day drive back to the city you picked up in.

The choice of return route will depend on your city of departure. If you are returning to Toronto, perhaps a return route via Tampa, Macon, Charlotte and Pittsburgh might be of interest.
