There are plenty of ocean-side spots to park for the night, but please, scope them out online ahead of time and book in advance.

Today you’ll travel to Fundy National Park along Highway NB-114 S. Experience the awe-inspiring Bay of Fundy by visiting the same coastal location at high tide, and then return about six hours later at low tide to see the giant tides. Check out the tide schedule at either Hopewell Cape or at the village of Alma. Be sure to stop at Hopewell Rocks along the way and take advantage of visitor savings by using our CanaDream Club app.

Plan to overnight at Fundy National Park, boasting over 120 km (75 mi) of walking and hiking trails. Visit beautiful Bennett Lake where you can swim, picnic or rent a canoe. If you’d like an extra drive to experience more coastal bliss, check out the town of St. Martins.

After a couple days of awe-inspiring ocean-side time, head to Saint John for a waterfront city experience. Enjoy the downtown centre by foot and visit the oldest continuing farmer’s market in Canada – The Saint John City Market - where a daily bell rings to begin and end the business day. Visit the Imperial Theatre, a grand century-old building and take in an event or concert. Stop at the Reversing Falls Bridge if you’d like to take in the experience of the tide changes again.

On your return trip to Halifax, along the Trans-Canada highway, enjoy the maritime travel and stop in Amherst, Nova Scotia for lunch. Halifax’s waterfront and pier plays host to stunning views, incredible meals and some of the Maritime’s best live music. Check out our CanaDream Club partners and do a Harbour Hopper Tour to see the city from the harbour. Halifax is known to have the highest number of bars per capita of any Canadian city – perhaps a pub crawl is how you’ll end your incredible east coast adventure!
