We are happy to provide Guests with the opportunity to purchase Parks Canada Discovery Passes when they make an RV booking with CanaDream. Only Annual passes are available for purchase through us.
The Pass will be given to you at the pick-up location when you collect your motorhome. Annual passes are available for Individuals, Seniors and Families and must be pre-purchased prior to your arrival. Individual passes cover only one person while a Family pass is valid for up to seven people travelling together in the same vehicle. We do not sell daily passes.
The Discovery Pass gives you free entry to all National Parks across Canada, along with Parks Canada operated National Historic Sites and Marine Reserves and is valid for twelve months from the date you receive it.
If you purchase a Park pass from CanaDream and you later cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund on the Pass. Once you have picked up your RV and Park Pass, no refund applies.
We strongly recommend that Guests plan to stay in campgrounds during their RV vacations, particularly if they are unfamiliar with the area. This adds a layer of safety to their travels and provides them with access to campground facilities and hookups. If Guests choose not to stay in campgrounds or are unable to secure a booking, there are other options. Refer to our blog, Camping for Free in Canada, to learn about camping on Crown Land and other places.
At any time prior to pickup, you can prepurchase kilometres for your trip. Our options are:
Upgrade from 100km to 160km per night
Upgrade from 100km to 250km per night
Purchase 500km package
Purchase 800km package
Purchase unlimited kilometres

Yes. Before boarding the ferry, you must comply with all regulations for the ferry you are travelling on. Please be aware that some ferries within Canada may refuse to carry motorhomes with a propane tank water capacity of more than 65 litres. The propane tanks on all our motorhomes comply with the ferry regulations insofar as fuel capacity is concerned however the water capacity of the propane tank in some of our MHA models do not. If your proposed itinerary includes a ferry crossing, particularly in the province of Quebec, it is important that you advise CanaDream prior to pick up.
Please refer to the following websites for further information about these regulations:
BC Ferries - www.bcferries.com/travel_planning/gas-propane.html
Approved spare containers of gasoline are permitted on our ferries, but only in limited amounts. The containers cannot exceed 25L. RVs/vehicles may carry one spare container,
Propane valves must be closed and sealed with the tags issued at the ticket booth, and the cylinders must be upright and firmly secured, to prevent tipping. RVs are permitted a maximum of two cylinders of not more than 25 kg each (50L water capacity each), provided they are connected to a regulator, and secured in or on the vehicle. Recreational vehicles may carry a third cylinder no larger than 15 kg (30L water capacity) for BBQ needs.

There are variations by route, so please check the specific ferry routing you are taking. The most popular routing is the Matane-Baie-Comeau-Godbout Ferry - details on restrictions can be seen here:
Marine Atlantic Ferries - https://www.marineatlantic.ca/sailing-information/ferry-safety
